Biography
I have been a trial lawyer my entire career. As a prosecutor ensuring the safety of the community, or as a defense lawyer protecting the Charter Rights of individuals, fairness and respect are at the core of my belief system. These principles have guided my practice over the last 28 years.
Having been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at a young age, I have some understanding of the challenges that those with disabilities face. With the assistance of the Speakers Bureau of Canada I share my experience with others outlining the importance of neurodiversity and inclusion in the workplace.
I maintain a practice in both British Columbia and Newfoundland & Labrador, my home province, helping those who have suffered at the hands of others. I represent clients who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents and those who have been hurt in slip and falls. My clients include individuals who have experienced medical malpractice at the hands of their doctors and others who are survivors of sexual assault.
My purpose
I believe that the two most important days in a person’s life are the day they are born and the day they discover why they were born. My purpose is to help people who cannot help themselves.
