Simranjeet is currently an articled student on the path to becoming a licensed Barrister and Solicitor in British Columbia. Before relocating to Canada, he practiced law in India across diverse practice areas, with a primary focus on civil law and arbitration.

Simranjeet’s experience in India also includes advising on real estate transactions, money recovery disputes, white collar crimes, and contractual disputes, as well as facilitating mediations and out-of-court settlements. This breadth of practice has shaped his approach as practical and solution-oriented with a real-world understanding.

Simranjeet is passionate about making the law accessible and understandable. He values educating individuals about their rights and engaging in thoughtful discussions on the purpose, evolution, and societal relevance of legal principles.

Simranjeet practiced law in New Delhi, India, before relocating to Canada in 2023. In 2024, he obtained his Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada after completing the required equivalency examinations.

Before joining Murphy Battista, Simranjeet worked full-time with the Public Guardian and Trustee of British Columbia (PGT) as a Paralegal in the Child and Youth Services (CYS) department.

At the PGT, he reviewed estate submissions on behalf of minors and incapable adults for the issuance of statutory comments under the Wills, Estates and Succession Act. The primary focus of this review was to ensure that the legal rights and financial interests of vulnerable individuals were protected.

He also reviewed files concerning children in the care of the Ministry of Children and Family Development, further strengthening his commitment to protecting the interests of those requiring legal oversight and advocacy.
