Murphy Battista

We’re thrilled to announce that Murphy Battista LLP will once again be supporting Cycle for Sight West Coast, a fundraising initiative for Fighting Blindness Canada (FBC), the country’s leading nonprofit advocate of sight-saving research.

Each year, Cycle for Sight raises funds to contribute to the fight against blindness. With events held across the country, participants can join for a one-day riding event to support much needed vision research for Canadians.

Donations are vital to fund vision research needed to develop treatments for vision restoration. According to FBC, more than 1.2 million Canadians live with vision loss, and 8 million live with eye disease, putting them at risk of blindness.

Last June, in the face of COVID-19, FBC hosted a virtual event where Murphy Battista had the opportunity to be one of its national sponsors. The 2021 edition of Cycle for Sight was the first national virtual event, bringing together riders from coast to coast. Fortunately, COVID-19 did not stop people from supporting the cause, and the event was a success. The event attracted more than 500 people and raised more than $371,000, which played a significant role in advancing vision research in Canada.

We are delighted that Cycle for Sight 2022 will be a live event. The ride is scheduled to take place on June 11 at the lovely West Langley Hall. Friends and families will be able to experience the outdoors while working out and enjoying a fabulous 30 km scenic ride that will help fund more sight-saving research for our communities.

Visit Fighting Blindness Canada to learn more about the event and how to register.
