Murphy Battista

Good relationships, including lawyer-client relationships, are built on trust. We appreciate that having suffered a serious injury you already feel vulnerable. We know that when you come to see a personal injury lawyer for the first time you are essentially putting your well being into the hands of a stranger. We understand that this is stressful. That’s why we feel it’s important to give you the opportunity to get to know something about us as people (not just lawyers). Trusted relationships start with sharing information. In that spirit, we are pleased to introduce Stephen Gibson.

How has your career as a lawyer created value in your life?

It continues to be my privilege to help clients who have lost almost everything under tragic circumstances. To see them emerge with hope for the future certainly makes the job worthwhile.

What brought you to Murphy Battista LLP?

Knowing this was the best personal injury litigation firm in British Columbia.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career?

Definitely Joe Murphy. I continue to learn from him every day.

How do you remain energized and focused on the practice of law?

On a daily basis I learn new things about people’s lives and careers, which never cease to amaze me. I also seek every day to set an example for my two daughters.
