Murphy Battisa is proud to be a sponsor for the BC Brain Injury Association (BCBIA) 2013 Cocktail Fundraiser Gala.
The BCBIA organizes this event annually to raise funds for resources and support for people living with brain injuries.
This year the Gala will take place on
Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 6pm to 9pm at
Vistas 360, The Renaissance Harbourside Hotel.

Gala tickets are $100 per person and by attending you will be helping support the BCBIA serve the interests of all affected by acquired brain injury (ABI) in BC. Why is this so important? Because:
- families need and want immediate access to reliable and trustworthy information on services and resources
- survivors, their families and caregivers want the opportunity to ask questions and to network with others who are having similar life experiences
- professionals want to be able to refer families and individuals to a resource that is always available, trustworthy, up to date and reliable
- brain injury is an ever emerging and important social and cultural issue
This year’s Gala promises to be fun and entertaining with guest speakers including returning emcees, Michel McDermott and Kyle Donaldson of Breakfast Television, and a keynote address by David Roche, Inspirational Humorist.
BCBIA is in a time of transformation and David Roche knows there is no individual transformation without community and that the growth of a new community is rooted in the good work of many who will be in attendance at the Gala. David will talk about the moments of grace that are the building blocks of change. Some of these moments are profound, some are hilarious, some are both at the same time. These kinds of experiences are universal, fascinating, heartwarming—and very funny.
And there will be prizes too! Woolysock Souljazz is also back by popular demand! This evolving group of well-seasoned improvisational musicians and vocalists will play music that is often called – jazz. Really it’s just themes and variations based on pop tunes from the 50s up to today, played with a lot of heart and soul.
